Achievements

As businesses and individuals face uncertain economic times and many are scaling back donations and contributions to non-profits and charities, Poss Architecture + Planning has capitalized on their relationship with Autodesk® to secure an Invest in Education Grant for Colorado Mountain College. The grant provides 25 licenses of Revit 2009 software for 13 months. Revit is an award-winning Building Information Modeling software. Eric Wood, a Poss designer, a Computer Aided Design instructor for CMC and an Adjunct Professor at the University of Texas, learned of the grant last fall at Autodesk® University and presented to Bill Poss and Rick Johnson, instructional chair for workforce development at Colorado Mountain College’s Aspen Campus, the idea of applying for the grant using the firm’s value in Autodesk® subscriptions.

Poss Architecture + Planning and Colorado Mountain College received notification of the award in February. Eric has also been the lead instructor for the internal CAD / BIM education at Poss. Mr. Wood has been teaching CAD / BIM for over 3 years.
