This mountain lakeside home adopts a philosophy
similar to Japanese folk architecture, and translates
it into the vernacular of a western mountain
region. Stone foundations, supporting towering
timber columns and a corrugated metal and shake
roof, emulate primitive Japanese pavilions.
These series of pavilions are enclosed by transparent
window walls, which allow continuous views from
the aspen trees at the rear of the home, through
the living areas, to a spectacular view overlooking
Wildcat Lake.
