Entry Elevation

Located in Aspen's historic West End, this residence is situated on a flat meadow at the top of a steep slope to the Roaring Fork River. The main residence is a 12,500 square foot structure designed to display the elegance and refinement of a traditional lodge. A caretaker's cottage is located on the property separately from the main house.

Traditional residential roof lines grace the residence. Exterior details feature reclaimed timber trusswork columns and trims, stained shingle siding, custom mahogany windows, and a peeled log picket railing.

Rear Patio

This photo of the back of the house shows part of the North Terrace, which extends off of the kitchen, family and dining rooms. These private spaces look out over the Roaring Fork River with Red Mountain beyond.

Living Room

As the main entertaining space, the Living Room is situated at the west end of the house. Directly off the living room, the main staircase, considered the heart of the house, is an open well connecting the upper level down to the lower level, which allows for open circulation throughout. A sun-tracking mirror called a heliostat system is installed in the skylight above the central staircase, which directs natural light down the stairwell to the lower level.

Master Suite

The master bedroom is situated in the southeast corner upper gable with Aspen Mountain framed in the main window. A window seat was designed as a whimsical nook for reading to the children.
