Pro Shop Porch

"Catamount was unique in that the project was divided into two different properties: the lake property and the. ranch property. The architecture was to reflect the different characters that each property offered. Even though Steamboat Springs has a rich history of ranching and ranch compounds, the lakeside architecture was something unique for Steamboat Springs."

Golf House

Golf House
The Golf House evokes memories of ranch architecture through the use of rusticated wood siding, a field stone base, and a wood shake roof with rusted metal accents that emulate the ranch buildings indigenous to the Steamboat Springs area. The structure of approximately 8,000 square feet is designed to be the center of social activities at Catamount Ranch, and features a clubroom, men's and women's locker rooms, indoor and patio dining for 100 patrons, and a 20-seat lounge.

Pro Shop
Designed as a marker for the entire clubhouse site, the pro shop contains approximately 3,200 square feet. Steep pitched roofs allowed this building to command a presence on the hillside until the golf house and restaurant was built. A rusted metal roofed porch to create deep shadows and a grounding effect surrounds the entire structure. The materials chosen were rusticated wood siding, field stone, and an asphalt shingle roof.
