Bill Poss
Educated at the New York Institute of Technology, Bill
practiced architecture in New York and Houston, Texas,
before his love of the mountains fueled a move to Aspen,
where he founded Poss Architecture + Planning in 1976.
A passionate believer in quality design and client service,
he maintains a strong commitment towards integrating a
project’s architectural design with its regional
context and landscape. As a testament to this tightly
held objective, he has served several years as Chairman
of the Aspen Historical Preservation Committee.
Bill’s project list includes the
Hyatt Grand Aspen Hotel, The Residences at Little Nell,
The Roaring Fork Club, the Agrigenetics Research Facility
(Madison, Wisconsin and Boulder, Colorado) and many signature
custom residences.
Les Rosenstein
Les graduated from the University of Colorado in 1972
and promptly began to establish himself as one of the
industry’s foremost operations managers in projects
ranging from old-home renovation to multi-family dwellings
to large office buildings covering up to 270,000 square
feet (MCI in Greenwood Village, Colorado). He has been
a project manager at J.R. Wheeler and Associates and later
became Director of Operations for Kirkham Michael and
Associates, a Denver-based architecture, land development
and administration firm.
Les joined Poss Archicture + Planning
in1990, and has since handled an impressive list of projects,
including the award-winning Leff and Goldberg Residences,
Piano Creek Ranch Golf and Fishing Resort (Pagosa Springs,
Colorado) and three separate luxury townhome complexes
within the Maroon Creek Development.
Andrew Wisnoski
With an all-encompassing approach to every project challenge
and complementary skills in architecture, interior design
and planning, Andrew is a perfect fit as Poss Architecture
+ Planning’s Director of Design. Further, he has
a degree in environmental design and a broad base of experience
with several building types, including single-family residences,
townhomes, retail and commercial projects, office buildings,
corporate offices and resort facilities.
Andrew’s Aspen-area projects have
included: the Maroon Creek Club Townhomes and Employee
Housing, River Valley Ranch Master Plan and Imagery and
many custom residential homes.
Kim Weil
Kim brings vast experience and multiple disciplines to
his work at Poss Architecture + Planning. He has an uncanny
ability to assume multiple duties from project to project,
and he is experienced in coordinating the input of many
consultants—both aesthetic and technical—into
one finished project.
Since obtaining his Masters Degree in
Architecture from University of Colorado in 1980,
Kim has garnered extensive experience in all aspects
of architecture, including single-family residences,
townhomes, condominiums, retail and commercial projects,
hotels, medical and educational facilities.
Chris Ridings
Chris joined Poss in 1993 and quickly became a coveted
member of the team. After graduating from the University
of Kansas in 1984, he worked in construction and for a
few other firms, first gaining hands-on experience with
the construction process and then its relationship to
architecture.
Chris has experienced project development
at all levels, from field work to project management,
and maintains a firm belief that excellence in architecture
results from thorough communications and team work.
Chris has worked on several major
Poss projects, including all components of the Roaring
Fork Club, Eagle’s Nest Cottages at Aspen Glen,
the Reiss Residence and Big Hat Ranch.
Stephen C.R. Holley
Stephen has twelve years of experience in mountain resort and residential design, planning and management. Since joining Poss Architecture + Planning in 1994, he has partnered in a diverse range of projects including employee housing, commercial infill, hotel development, golf and resort planning, and historic preservation.
Stephen actively pursues a philosophy of creative participation, interaction, and personal growth within design and management. He brings to his profession a strong commitment to the integration of design and function within a regional context and most importantly the realization of his client’s goals for their project. Norman Tai
Norman received his Bachelor of Architecture from Victoria University, Wellington, New Zealand in 1988. During his career he has been involved in an extensive range of projects from housing to large scale commercial projects.
Norman joined Poss Architecture + Planning in 1995 as a project manager , where he has designed and managed custom residential projects; The Roaring Fork Club and Member’s Cabins, Basalt, Colorado; Hyatt Club, Aspen; Snowmass Center Redevelopment, Town of Snowmass Village, Colorado fractional residence club projects; the Jack Daniel’s BBQ Pavilion, Lynchburg, Tennessee; Tumble Creek Golf Club member’s residences, Club and Locker house, Activity Center, Greeters Cottage and Pro Shop, Roslyn, Washington; Snake River Sporting Club member’s residences and Amenity Village, Jackson Hole. Wyoming.
Julie Zeiler Maple
Julie received a bachelor of Environmental Design from the University of Colorado/Boulder in 1984 and a Master of Architecture from the University of Minnesota in 1988. As an architect Julie’s work has ranged from projects for public and government agencies to high-end residential. She has touched all aspects of the profession from front end client relations, programming, design, consultant direction, construction document production, and construction administration. She has experience managing small projects with limited budgets and large projects with complex programs and extensive administrative requirements.
Since joining Poss Architecture + Planning in 1996, Julie has specialized on our large high end homes facilitating the coordination and integration of the interior design objectives with the architectural integrity of the whole house. Julie has worked on several major Poss projects, including the Sage Brush Lodge, Mountain Ranch Residence and the Weitz Residence.
Kevin G. Morley
Mr. Morley’s diverse work experience has provided him with a broad range of construction methods, architectural styles and variety of architectural and planning design experience. Having gained the experience through the design and construction of hundreds of projects around the country and abroad, provides depth to his experience with insight regarding fresh ideas about building technology, project organization, and a firm grasp of what it takes to prepare and manage projects.
Kevin joined Poss Architecture + Planning in 2005 as a Project Architect for the redevelopment of the Snowmass Center located in Snowmass Village, Colorado. Kevin has a strong commitment towards regional styling of architecture using the site to develop a tie between architecture and its surroundings, paying special attention to the detailing that creates a sense of permanence and historical reference from which the architecture is based.
