Ioana Palade
Architect
Having begun her architectural journey in 2011 as student intern, Ioana joined Poss Architecture + Planning and Interior Design 10 years later, in 2021, with an IBDP, B. A, an M. Arch (summa cum laude), and a wealth of experiences in all 3 of the firm’s specialties.
Over the years Ioana fostered a love for the mountainside luxury residential niche, studying, working & recreating in locales like Whistler & the Sea to Sky Corridor, Vancouver, Okanagan, Banff and Calgary.
With exposure to this elevated level of design came an itch to uncover the cutting edge, pushing her to explore parametric design and robotic fabrication through her master’s degree, and landing her a coveted invitational position on the University of Calgary’s ‘Laboratory for Integrative Design’ team.
A naturalized Canadian originally from Romania, Ioana travels abroad whenever she gets the opportunity. While on North American soil, you can find her in the garage with her husband building their latest automotive project, or off-road in the mountains, testing their creations in the elements with their Belgian Malinois, Teeka, and ‘adventure’ cat, Kramer.
