Celebrating the Colorado Lifestyle

This interior design project for Stranahan’s was created to reflect the brand’s deep roots in the Roaring Fork Valley and its connection to the classic Colorado lifestyle. Led by designer Deana Juskys, with Bridget Anderson, and Patrick Carpenter as project manager, the team brought the vision to life through interiors that feel a bit rustic, a bit Western, a bit cowboy, and fully immersed in a love for the outdoors.

Our goal was to make the space feel like Aspen’s living room: relaxed, warm, and residential in character, as if you’ve just walked into a cozy mountain cabin layered with collected treasures and lived-in charm. Golden-toned woods and curated décor sit comfortably beside black-painted accents, subtly referencing Stranahan’s brand palette. A copper-clad bar front pays tribute to the distillation process, while a private tasting room offers a more refined take on mountain modern interiors, complete with copper tin ceilings, fleur-de-lis wallpaper, and dark-stained wood wainscoting that evokes Colorado’s Victorian heritage.

theStelle Lodge at Skyridge

Luxurious Lodge

The Stelle Lodge is the centerpiece of the SkyRidge Mountain Community, located on the north shore of the Jordanelle Reservoir in Park City, Utah. As currently configured, The Stelle Lodge contains 62 units and 94 keys, with units ranging in size from 700-square-foot studio suites to 3,600-square-foot, 4-bedroom suites. The Lodge has been designed to give 90 percent of the units views of the reservoir and the peaks of the Deer Valley and Mayflower resorts. The interiors of this new hotel are meticulously designed to echo the spirit of the surrounding landscape. Inspired by nature’s layers and textures, the design gracefully blends luxury with an adventurous allure, celebrating the outdoors at every turn.

Earthy tones and natural materials, enriched with layers of soft, organic fabrics, establish a serene yet sophisticated atmosphere. Subtle accents of bold color add vibrancy and dimension, bringing a touch of character to each space. Created as a sanctuary for rest and rejuvenation, the hotel provides an inviting haven where guests can unwind, recharge, and fully immerse themselves in the beauty of their surroundings.

The Aspen Mountain Residences Remodel

Reimagining Spaces

This interior remodel project in Aspen included a comprehensive refresh of the front desk and lobby area, all residential units, corridors, the gym, and elevator cabs. Our interior design scope covered updated paint, wall coverings, flooring, lighting, furnishings, and custom millwork throughout. The result is a clean, cohesive take on mountain modern interiors that balances functionality with a welcoming sense of place.

Private Golf Club Remodel

A Luxurious Remodel

This project transforms a private golf clubhouse in Aspen into a refined, inviting destination that celebrates both elegance and natural beauty. In the first phase, our interior design team reimagined key spaces, including the entry corridor, pool lounge, and bar—introducing premium finishes, custom casework, new doors, and expansive windows that connect the interiors more closely with the surrounding landscape.

Exterior enhancements followed, featuring an expanded pool, a playful new slide, and a relaxing hot tub. The result is a mountain modern retreat designed to foster both relaxation and connection. Members are welcomed into a luxurious environment for shopping, unwinding, and enjoying food and drinks with friends—all within a thoughtfully designed setting that blends comfort with sophistication.

Downtown Aspen Residence Remodel

Contemporary Mountain Living

This condominium remodel focused on transforming the living room, mudroom/entry room, and kitchen into inviting spaces that exude a mountain modern aesthetic. The primary goal was to seamlessly integrate contemporary design elements with the warmth and comfort associated with mountain living. The project scope included selecting and installing new furnishings, accessories, and lighting to create a cohesive and visually stunning environment.

A Remodel That Honors Original Design

This remarkable remodel honors the original design of a home crafted by Poss 30 years ago, seamlessly blending timeless elegance with modern updates. The new homeowner prioritized preserving the integrity of the residence, ensuring that all original materials remained intact while thoughtfully refreshing certain elements to enhance the home’s aesthetic. To achieve a harmonious balance, the tones and colors of the hardwood floors, along with the interior and exterior stonework, were updated to reflect a natural palette of warm hues. These subtle enhancements breathe new life into the space, creating an inviting atmosphere that resonates with comfort and tranquility. Carefully curated furnishings, featuring light and warm tones, elevate the overall look and feel of the home, adding layers of sophistication while maintaining a cozy ambiance. This remodel beautifully captures the essence of the original design, ensuring that it remains a cherished sanctuary for years to come.

The Residences at the Little Nell offer contemporary mountain style paired with the luxury and sophistication of upscale Aspen, including a dedicated hospitality and concierge team. The Residences feature a magnificent rooftop pool and water garden, a gym and yoga studio, as well as private decks and balconies. Poss Interior Design collaborated with Barbara Glass on the interiors of this prestigious hospitality project.

Hawthorne House

Aspen Views at their Finest

This contemporary 5-bedroom, 5-bath, 8,200 sq. ft. residence is located just steps from downtown Aspen. Floor-to-ceiling windows showcase panoramic views of Independence Pass, Aspen Mountain, and Shadow Mountain. The design integrates the surrounding landscape and complements the open floor plan with south-facing dining and living areas. The home is luxuriously appointed with the finest furnishings and finishes, including monumental limestone panels, walnut, and granite. Additionally, custom-designed linens and exclusive accessories selected through a collaboration between Poss Interiors and Paige Larkin elevate this home to a true masterpiece.

Mountain Chic

This Mountain Chic residence embodies a refined take on mountain modern design, creating a sanctuary that seamlessly blends the tranquility of the surrounding landscape with the comforts of contemporary living. Furnishings throughout the home are thoughtfully chosen to enhance warmth and relaxation, with each piece contributing to a cohesive sense of calm and understated elegance. A natural color palette, featuring soft earth tones, warm light, and whites, creates an airy, inviting atmosphere. Materials and textures—like rich wood grains, smooth stone finishes, and organic textiles—echo the mountainous surroundings, bringing the serenity of nature indoors. Plush seating and cozy, oversized armchairs provide inviting places to relax, while tactile throw blankets and textured cushions add depth and warmth to each space. Light fixtures with subtle, organic shapes cast gentle glows, emphasizing the peaceful ambiance of each room. This harmonious blend of comfort, elegance, and nature-inspired tones fosters a true retreat, balancing mountain charm with a modern, grounded aesthetic. Sunset Ridge

Modern Telluride

The Sunset Ridge residence overlooks the Deep Creek Canyon and is surrounded by a 360-degree panoramic view of the San Miguel Mountain range in Telluride, Colorado. This 12,000 sq. ft. ultra-modern residence was designed to incorporate the surrounding landscape by providing gorgeous vistas from every angle of the residence. The vision for this project was to create a unique home that provides inspiration and surprise with every turn, while enhancing one’s sense of wonder when experiencing its context within its surroundings. The architectural design was profoundly inspired by its surroundings, yet makes a unique statement as a dramatic response to its environment. This is achieved by Sunset Ridge’s design of breaking away from common orthogonal geometries, incorporating soaring angular rooflines, featuring detailed limestone walls that ground the structure to the land, showcasing a dynamic steel structure, and housing ceiling-to-floor glass, which welcomes the surrounding landscape into the experience and lifestyle of the home.

Remède Spa at the St. Regis

Subtle and Sophisticated

The St. Regis Remède Spa has a sense of place and belongs within the context of its luxurious surroundings. The interior areas of the spa are evocative of the mountains and mountain vernacular in a subtle and sophisticated manner, while the use of color and materials creates a warm and inviting environment without relying on conventional design. Renovation work at the St. Regis Aspen includes a complete refurbishment of several guest bedrooms, as well as the design and construction of a new luxury spa. These renovations bring an extra flair of elegance to the mountain ideal of interior design.

Downtown Aspen Office

Mountain Modern Office

This centrally located downtown Aspen office has stunning views of Aspen Mountain and an abundance of natural light. The mountain modern décor—with characteristic exposed beams, barn wood walls, glass wall panels, and sliding doors—is evident throughout the office. A pop of color, carried throughout the interesting and fun artwork, breaks up the brown and gray hues of the office furnishings and finishes.

The complete interior remodel of the Wheeler Block building—the new home of the famed Kemo Sabe—was completed in 2017. Poss Interior Design was tasked with updating the design and look of the original store while preserving authenticity and the spirit of the Old West.

Mountain Ranch

19th Century Aesthetic

The Mountain Ranch Residence is designed as a retreat for an extended family, with both private spaces that cater to the needs of the household and public spaces suitable for business and entertainment. The home is intended to be reminiscent of a classic, grand mountain lodge. To create a look that is both rustic and stately, we used heavy antique oak timbers, paneling, and flagstone flooring, accented with delicately carved fireplace mantels and stair balustrades. The richly appointed interiors complement the architectural backdrop through an eclectic mixture of furniture, fabrics, and artwork, completing this unique and beautiful home.

Aspen Downtown Residence

Downtown Living

This downtown Aspen residence is located in the heart of Aspen’s pedestrian mall and underwent a top-to-bottom interior remodel. Poss Interior Design incorporated some of the building’s original architectural details at the owner’s request as a springboard for the design. The barrel-vaulted ceiling in the master bedroom was originally hidden by the division of several smaller spaces. The room was opened up to create a luxurious suite, including views of both Aspen Mountain and Red Mountain. An entire basement level was added to the residence, including a children’s playroom and additional bedrooms.

Reagan Residence

Clean Crisp Interiors

This 11,000 sq. ft. mountain home is situated on a large horse meadow along a bend in the Roaring Fork River. Because of the wooded and private site, the house feels totally secluded, yet offers all the conveniences of being close to town. The residence offers classic mountain-rustic charm with clean, crisp interiors, making it conducive to a young modern family.

Snowmass Condo Remodel

Snowmass Contemporary

This top-floor corner condominium project’s scope included a complete remodel, starting with opening up the flat ceiling in the living spaces to create a vaulted ceiling with a wood truss. The fireplace, completely clad in granite slab, was enlarged to include a large-scale TV with a linear gas fireplace below. Bookshelves and a wet bar complete the contemporary feel and design of the furnishings and finishes. This home is luxuriously appointed with the finest furnishings and finishes, such as monumental limestone panels, walnut, and granite.
